Parlec Names Tomassetti Applications Engineer
Rochester NY, January 16, 2008 – Parlec, Inc., a worldwide leader in tooling, workholding, and presetting solutions, announced today that Carlo Tomassetti, has been named Southeast Regional Applications Engineer. His territory will span from Virginia to Florida.
Tomassetti has been a member of Parlec’s sales team since 2005 where he was responsible for managing and growing sales through a vast industrial distribution network covering the eastern seaboard and parts of Canada.
In making the announcement, Jeff Sweedler, Vice President of Sales at Parlec, said, “Carlo is extremely talented. We are very excited to have him take on such an important role in the organization. His experience and determination will be key factors in our continued growth and success in the marketplace.”
As the Applications Engineer, Tomassetti will assist sales efforts by providing in-depth technical information to Parlec’s internal and external sales team, as well provide customer service and value-added support to end users. He will also assist in the development of technical specifications and product testing.
Tomassetti received an associate’s degree in apprentice training and precision machining from Monroe Community College. He has also completed a number of certificate programs through the Rochester Tooling and Machining Institute, the State of New York and Monroe Community College.
Tomassetti is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA).
