Parlec Introduces Parsetter 1500 TMM System to West Coast at WESTEC

Parlec recently unveiled the Parsetter 1500 at the 2006 IMTS trade show in Chicago, Illinois. After the overwhelming response sparked by IMTS, Parlec is eager to introduce the revolutionary system to the west coast enthusiasm.

The Parsetter 1500, Parlecís latest innovative tool measuring system, provides complete presetting, tool inspection, and tool measurement along with exceptional repeatability under almost any condition. The 1500 can handle tools up to a 420mm in diameter, 60mm maximum length and travel up to 100mm in diameter.

Using symmetry in its design, the 1500 is manufactured from ductile cast iron and features an ergonomic, quick positioning system that combines rapid, smooth travel with minimal pressure applied to the column and bearing systems, and has precision pre-loaded linear bearings to assure accuracy. The 1500 platform is the building block for an efficient and economical integrated tooling system. Combining travel over spindle centerline, tool centering optics and a configurable digital readout control makes the series 1500 the most economical way to handle the setup of turning tools. Shrink fit tooling systems are also perfectly suited to the Parsetter 1500. In addition, adding ParleVision PGC PLUSÆ combines comprehensive tool data management and communication for the ultimate tooling experience. Optional features include, fine adjust/axes brake system, tool surface inspection, centering optics, full feature spindles and tool length adjustment.
