Parlec Names James Pierce Vice President of Operations

Rochester, NY, September 2008 – Parlec, Inc., a worldwide leader in tooling, workholding, and presetting solutions, is pleased to announce it has named James Pierce Vice President of Operations.

As VP of Operations, Pierce is responsible for overseeing Parlec’s manufacturing, assembly, materials purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance and quality departments. He is also tasked with coordinating Parlec’s in-house technology, including implementing new inventory and fulfillment management, and product realization systems.

Pierce has more than 20 years of progressive manufacturing experience and holds a number of accredited certifications, including Six Sigma, Black Belt; Lean Enterprise, Black Belt; and Kaizen Facilitator. He has also undergone extensive leadership and manufacturing proficiencies training.

Pierce received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University and has worked in operations management for a number of manufacturing facilities in and around Rochester, NY throughout his career.
