Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales activity for Parlec, Inc. that occurs within the selling territory. The Regional Sales Manager shall provide leadership in the development, growth, and change required for a selected regional territory. Reporting to this position will be customers, OEMs, and distributors. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for meeting the training objectives defined by the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.
  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all ISO 9001 procedures and requirements of the sales support function. This includes active participation in the internal and external audits when necessary.
  • Achieve annual sales plan through effective sales and regional management.
  • Responsible for growth and development of distribution network.
  • Aid in strategic planning, forecasting, and annual operating planning.
  • Be a resource for expert technical assistance on all Parlec products and Parlec sales policy.
  • Responsible for providing formal notification to appropriate company personnel of any customer dissatisfaction or of any instances of poor product quality.
  • Support all sales, marketing and quality initiatives that build customer satisfaction.
  • Manage expenses within budget.
  • Communicate market activity on an ongoing basis.
  • Must be available for travel at all times.

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (A. A.) in a sales or manufacturing related field; and/or three to five years related experience and/or training in sales through industrial distribution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to read and interpret documents and business correspondence. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
